the night is very cold
as my children are walking and keeping a hold
they watch all those goblins as they wander by
i see them hold back all those tears not to cry
i tell them its okay to be afraid
they get one night a year and this is there day
my children look at me with dread in there face
i tell them tomorrow they will be gone without a trace
they smile and say i do love all the candy
my tummy if full
so maybe next year i wont be so scared
of all those goblins and ghost i saw
i look at them and tell them dont worry
i will fight them all
my children looked at me with such a surprise
but it made them smile and not want to hide
