CHAPTER 4OUR: October 31st, l977-

After conducting hundreds of interviews & chit chats concerning the wierd happenings in Lonsvale, Louisiana & Parke County, this day stood out as the most bizarre day that people talked of. It was a warm, gusty, rainy, stormy & gray day, and it started out with the 7:00 morning train crashing into a black sedan- killing the intoxicated man instantly. It marked the lst time in twenty-five years that a fatality had occurred at that particular intersection in town. From that point of impact, on, the Halloween of l977 spun completely out of control....................

As the afternoon faded into evening, all of the children in Lonsvale were getting in costume for the annual 'Holiday Hand Out' and the only day of the year when it's customary to irritate anyone other than immediate family members. A chance to bang on someone's glass front door, splurt out some silly words, and bum free candy- that get's tossed into a sack or bag for no apparent reason. Twelve-year-old Sarah Jo Williams & her very best friend, Deanna Wright (ll) were putting the finishing touches on their halloween costumes. Sarah Jo was dressing as an 'angel', and her white dressed was outlined in flashy sequins. Her long, blonde hair glistened as well as the glitter that dusted her face. An angel, she truly was. Deanna had somehow become a mixture of Cindy Brady & Eddie Munster. Her pale face and glossy red lipstick combined with her curly blonde hair and black cape, just really made for an odd combination. But this day would be stocked full of tragedy for little Deanna Wright..........

When all the questions had been asked, and the smoke had cleared, Mrs. Helena Taylor was the last person to see the young girls that night in l977. Although she is in her 70's now, she still can remember Sarah Jo Williams 'angel' costume, and she still cries tiny tears for the two trick-or-treater's that never came back home with their bags of candy to pour out on the floor. To make the disappearance of the two girls even more of a devestation, was the deaths of Deanna's parents that fateful Halloween night. They never knew their daughters fate, Deanna never knew her parent's fate. Maybe that would be a blessing in disquise. Finding the little girls blood soaked Halloween costumes would be anything but......................

In a heavily woooded area, outside Parke County's jurisdiction, a deer hunter found two dresses, amongst other items, that left the definite impression that something very disturbing had occured at this spot. When police and Crime Scene Investigators arrived, just the sight of the two small outfits mutilated with cuts & tears, and drenched in bright red blood was a gruesome vision that shook even the toughest of the men that had converged on the scene. For the lst time, fear and shock had began to set in. On Halloween night, l977, someone walked among the ghosts, ghouls, & goblins- a cold-blooded murderer. Once again Sorrow had stopped in and visited Lonsvale, Louisiana. As usual it showed no mercy.....

Date: 11/5/2002 12:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 49742    Wow that is awful and way too freaky even for Halloween. Not only the girls get murdered but the one girl's parents??? You are soo good at making it even more suspenseful. If the girl's parents were killed elsewhere it makes you think the killer knew the family, huh. That's what came to thought for me anyway. You're stories make my mind work in all scenarios. Thanks for stimulating my dull brain, LOL.
