Alright, I haven't posted a poem for awhile. I wanted to write something for Halloween. *nods* so here it goes.
This Night
written on 10/31/2002
Darkness fills the shadows
A muffled scream is heard
is that a voice in my head
or is it something more?
The trees sway back and forth
making an eerie dance.
Is that a misty figure I see,
or just a wisp of light?
Paranoia creeps up the spine
another shiver escapes.
Can you feel that icy hand?
I swear it just touched my face.
Silence.
A shrill wail cuts like a knife,
as the mystical night unforlds.
The veil is thin, on this night.
Be careful where you roam.
