The Price Of Contentment **Frankenstein

The orange moon loomed brightly through the fog and illuminated the landscape. The air of death was quite obvious and the events of the evening foretold of things yet to come. I would never have ventured out had it not been for the need of another fresh loaf of bread and a new roll of toilet paper. I would have preferred to stay at home but there was no real choice. It was really no surprise that ominous events were yet to unfold.

The stranger I encountered was immediately disarming. I was never uneasy although I admit to feeling somewhat baited. I hesitate to relate the lurid events which followed our unexpected meeting but I will do so now. She was a vision.

Her pale skin appeared to be so soft as the moonlight shone down upon it. The look in her eyes was one of pure greed. I thought I knew what she wanted but I was so wrong. She wouldn't be content until she owned me. That became all too clear to me. I rushed into her arms and the rages of passion engulfed us. This passion could only be described as blood lust and I know that now.

It's amazing how seductive something as repulsive as demonic forces can be but that's the case nonetheless. I, quite unexpectedly, found myself consorting with the undead and I can truly say that I don't regret it. Some may disagree or fail to see the beauty of this existance but I have come to relish it. The ones I have mentioned are only those who are among the uninitiated. I, too, had much to learn.

Come with me. It's okay. There's no reason to be afraid. Let's take flight and soar across the landscape of the netherworld together. Now, take my hand.
