I had invisions of me & you,
who ever thought it would turn out to be true.
Me a little older, you on delay,
but who cares what others have to say.
Now where together and happy as can be,
I told you in the long run they all would see.
Now years down the road,
we're still together growing old.
Now we're sitting on the porch on the swing,
can't see the time or hear the phone ring.
We'll just sit here like two old coots,
maybe if it gets cold enough we'll cuddle and smooch.
But for now we'll count the fireflies that go by,
at our age that's the extent of our high. ( SIGH )
