I get checks from somewhere for $265 a month. I don't want to talk about how I get these checks because it's not really glamourous or anything, I do not do physical labor for them. I get these checks every month on the 20th. My check that I was to receive August 20-September 20 was not sent to me until October 7th or so. So October 20th rolls around and of course I don't get my check on time. I DO NOT want to resort to getting a student loan, because trust me I already have a running tab and I'm not starving to death, I can stand to lose a few pounds if it gets down to it.
I've been sick for a month. Nausea, (I posted something about my vomiting), and massive cold symptoms and I can't fight it off just yet. I have no money. Well I talked to my dad on Sunday on the phone, hadn't talked to him in awhile. We have a strange relationship, trust me I'd get a hefty paycheck if I were to ever sit down and write a book about my life, and he'd be more than a few chapters. We've had our ups and downs, but he is my dad, and I am his daughter. I finally fessed up, he could tell anyways that I'm really sick, but he didn't know that I was so down and out at the moment.
Well on Mondays I have classes from 1-8pm and when I came back from my Social Psych class I thought to myself, that guy watching Memphis Belle with my boyfriend (I live my boyfriend) sure does look like my father. It was him! He drove 4 hours to take me and my boyfriend out to eat, and then he took us grocery shopping, he told us to get enough to last about a month. We spent about $119 and most of that was because he was adding stuff to the cart. I just think that was one of the coolest things ever that my dad has done for me. The only thing that was bad is that I stayed up until 7am studying for an accounting test that I was intending to study for when he was visiting. But that was really nice. I don't know why but I just really wanted to share that with you! Has anybody ever done something really nice for you when you were really in a time of need?
