They asked him not to come because the families themselves didn't get along. It wasn't for political reasons, if he would've came it would've been for political reasons to make himself look good. (this is what my AP history teacher told us today) |

When I saw this on CNN I was shocked, but I understand that if the families did not get along then they asking that he not come was the right thing to do. After all I do not want people who don't like me to come to my funeral. |

From what the media says, Paul Wellstone got along with EVERYONE...he was one of the few in washington that could debate and than go out for drinks with his opponate afterwards...which is it now??? Who is lying? Was Wellstone a great guy who go along with EVERYONE, or is he one of those people who couldn't hang-out with people who had opposing views....And I heard that Cheney was asked not to come because of all the extra security he would have to bring with him..This is SICK on the democrats part that they even have to politicize a death to win an election..sick.. |
