Do I ever walk across your heart?
Did I leave a lasting impression,
In your life, did I ever really play a part?
I see you from time to time,
I wonder how you are.
You never look my way though,
You are so close, yet so far.
You coldly closed the door,
When I fnally found the courage to walk through.
I finally saw you for who you are,
Not the person I thought I knew.
But a place in my heart there is for you.
For I never turn my back on someone I called a friend.
I stand here at the door,
Waiting for my broken heart to mend.
Maybe one day somewhere in time,
You will again cross my way.
And a friendship we can rebuild,
