Love you Sis! Catherine is special, whenever I hear her voice, I laugh or smile. I think how much fun we would have at Disney World with the babies, singing "Its a Small World, after all" and then dressing up and doning City Walk at Universal! I think of the HOURS we talk, yes, she is so uplifting! And I value her friendship and laughter so much.  |

Hey there, Brenda; Remind me to tell you the story of little 3 yr old Eli Huffman and his Barney doll, at 4:00 o'clock in the morning; I woke out of a sound sleep with both of them asleep on top of me.....the Barney doll malfunctioned in some way and I couldn't get it to shut up. stuck on "I love you; you love me.." and in my half-sleep-half-awake state, I strolled out to the garage, tossed the doll into the garage, closed the door, and went back to bed. Next morning, a sleepy little fella poked me and ask "Where's Barney?". he he he....I acted so innocent but after seeing Eli searching so diligently for Barney, I felt guilty and told him I would help him "look" for Barney. I opened the garage door and "Eli, come here, I found Barney" and that was that. Yeah, you know, when I hear your precious little grandkids voices in the background....it tugs at my heartstrings; I envy you, and wish I were there. I'm such a big ole kid at heart. Singing to children; reading to them; playing in amusement parks, and just gettin' plain silly is what its all about. Ahhhh...Brenda, it is *I* who really am the lucky one here....so blessed and very fortunate to know you and call you: FRIEND. I look forward to the many many more conversations in the years ahead; and someday travelling to Ohio. I just know that it will be just as though we have always known each other. Thank you, precious friend. I will call you later today. I was on the phone with Karen when she said "Shadowghost put up a post for you". We were really chatting up a storm when her cell phone conked out (this happens a lot cause we talk forever!  ) and then it was so late, I just went off to bed. Karen, hearing your voice makes my day. All of you ladies, my friends, are so cherished. You really do: Get it; and seem to know just what to say, and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for each of you. Sure wish you wern't so far away. Karen, I will call you in a little while. Egan, Thank you. What you describe (and Shadowghost) is what is often referred to as: Keeping it REAL. Good friends; real friends, and HONEST friends, are able to be themselves; feel free to speak from their heart, their inner core; and KNOW that they are accepted; they are able to see the other's passion, and communicate beyond words. I'm sorry that I just haven't got around to e-mailing you, but you should see my schedule and the pressing responsibilities and obligations/commitments. I feel guilty for stealing the time to come here to USM sometimes; but this is where such good friends are...you know what I mean? Hey, Thanks AS. My best wishes go out there to you in New Zealand. |

Linda, I know I talked to you yesterday, but I will call you again today. I feel closer to you than a blood sister, and the same with Jenn. I know you know all this already, but my best friends know that I try to tell them everyday that I love them and or how special they are to me. Now, I've missed our little "church" meetings on Sundays for a few weeks now, but as soon as this computer and Yahoo is straightened out....we will resume our special early sunday morning time.
