I'm thinking about getting my tattoo tomorrow ~Lucy Ricardo~

Hello everyone! :)

As most of you know, I was going to wait till the next time I go to Tennessee to get my tattoo, but just today, my dad offered to take me to a tattoo parlor tomorrow. He told me that I dont have to get one tomorrow if I dont want to, but I am 90% sure I am going to get one.

Now, my question is, what all should I ask the tattoo artist? I know that I should ask what kind of stuff to put on the tattoo to make it heal, and what olors fade the fastest. Is there anything else I should ask??

Love, Lucy Ricardo

Date: 10/5/2002 7:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    Lucy, to be honest, I don't. I also think that you'll regret it when you're older. That's just my opinion, though.

Date: 10/5/2002 8:08:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 39370    Well, I've thought long and hard about it
Date: 10/5/2002 8:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 38406    I think so should wait until you older. I'm 15 and I was thinking about getting one but I decide that I would wait until I go to college. Wait a little bit longer please!
Date: 10/5/2002 8:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 12806    I was dead set on getting a tattoo when I was 16.... Today, I am sooooooooo glad that I changed my mind...... I am not the person today that I was back then..... In fact, I would have regretted it for many years........... Get a temporary tattoo, because what you think you are now will change..... Besides, ANY tattoo is going to fade and look terrible after 20 years or so........
Date: 10/5/2002 8:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    all I gotta say is DON'T get it til your 100% ask about how the ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm stuff is sterilized...lol make sure the needles they use are brand new!.....

Date: 10/5/2002 9:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 56410    Yeah, I agree with Frank! I really don't think tattoos are attractive or safe.. I suggest you wait until you're 110% sure.
Date: 10/5/2002 9:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 26452    Okay, my computer is being really slow, and I dont have the patience to find it again (lol Im sorry) but go here, it will show you EVERYTYHING you weill need to ask, and what things to wach out for:: http://www.cs.uu.nl/wais/html/na-dir/bodyart/tattoo-faq/.html
Date: 10/5/2002 9:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 26452    Oh, and I don't know what state you live in, but (I compleatly forgot to tell you this last time) Some states have age limits to getting a tattoo, in some states you can't get one until your 21! As far as I knew, Arizona (my state, luckily for me lol) was the only one that allowed you to legally get a tattoo (with your parents permission of couse) If you want me to find the link that tells the legal age in each state, I can find it again for you.
Date: 10/5/2002 9:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 26452    Aeries Vampire, I just wanted to say that tattoos are VERY safe as long as you take proper care for it, and go to a good tattooist. Actually, Its more dangerous for the artists than the person getting a tattoo.
Date: 10/7/2002 11:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 5229    I dont mean to sound parent like, but I wanted my tattoo when I was fourteen. And I'm very glad I waited just two years. That way I had plenty of time to plan out everything just right, and knew exactly what to tell the man. I really think you should wait a while to make sure whatever your getting is what you REALLY want.
