The Simple Decisions we make............

My Mimi and I were cleaning the house today after Hurricane Lili left. Just like a replay of last week when Tropical Storm Isidore paid us a visit. I was outside putting up Halloween decorations for the 3rd time and decided to go take a rest. My Mimi had the same idea and we both sat down. Somehow we got on the subject of living in Louisiana. She said, "You know, I never liked it here." I looked at her, surprised. I always thought she loved living here. She continued, "I mean, I lived in Arkansas and then married Poppa and lived here. I've always wanted to live in the country. Where I could raise my children with animals and not all those video games. Sometimes I think that if we would have moved somewhere in the country, our whole lives would change." We sat there in the quietness and I realized that maybe I wouldn't be here if they had lived in the country. Maybe my Mom would have married someone else and never had me or my sister. Or maybe my Uncle Clyde could stil be here with us today. And its kind of funny how when you make decisions in life, you never think twice about how it could effect your whole entire life. Even just making the decision to maybe take a different route to work and who knows, you could have just saved your life from a car wreck. I think that maybe if people took a few more minutes to think about decisions, that it would make a difference in the world. Just think about it.........

God Bless, TexasSweetie
