JEZEBEL: Tell us about yourself...

KEEPSAKE: I grew up one of seven children , to a single mother the oldest child died of crib death we were very poor, and were very close.

When I was 15 I had a nephew who at the time had just turned six years old a few days later on mothers day I yelled at him for not sharing his new bike with a neighbor hood child 5 minutes after that he was killed by electricution ,he climbed on a building and was going after his lost Balloon ,it changed me from being self absorbed to being self aware a few months or so after that I met my husband Doyle .

I am a twin and my husband is a twin ,we were young when we met on the 4th of July when his brother Allen and my brother Allen worked together they were friends and decided to have a 4th of July party they both invited thier twin siblings thats how we met then we married a year later on the 4th of July and for 21 years we have still been having fun together.

We have two sons both very handsome one is 20 named Joshua and one is 14 named Benjamin.

I am a very happy person inside and out except for the daily issues we all face , bills , kids, health ,money and not always seeing eye to eye with another's persons perceptions yet I feel strong that we can learn through the altercations with each other so both parties may mature.

I feel that sometimes we look at the world through our own hearts , if our hearts are not happy we have a hard time believing that there is Good in the world or that its real .

I do my best to try and encourage every one I know to see the joy ,in their lives ,if you look for it you will find it ...it can be the smallest of things a childs smile ,a happy ending to a good book ,the interaction between two friends , the joy of helping some one else and when things are bad the good in our selves when we rise above adversity.
Learn honestly to look and see the truth inside with out being afraid of what we see ...I wish to help every one see "self ".

There is value in us for doing the best we can with what we have to work with I truly believe we all effect each other I hope I leave my mark on the world with love and joy.


J: What brought you to USM?.

K: A dream I had ........and a computer that was mysteriously gotten.


J: How did you end up becoming an admin?

K: Ginger asked me to be one :o) over two and a half years ago , it was an honor and has been one of the biggest blessings of my life.
It also has tested my spirit and helped my friends to teach me.


J: How would you say USM has changed over the years?

K: Well Like all things different elements have added to its growth or rebellion USM is a living entity of love and light constantly growing and learning
Its a conduit to touch each others hearts and minds I feel that by understanding the things that are wrong we would have to look inside of our selfs
Because we are all of us USM , we together make it what it is there is a lot that is good in USM in the back streets and alley ways so much more then that which is bad ........like friendships , love ,kindness ,encouragement, and learning

There is also pettyness and drama , spite , arrogance , jealousy , and Low self esteem just like out side of our USM communities the internet is just an extension to our personal Off line relationships and very real it can hurt and heal depending on the people you interact with.
It has changed but not any more then 'we our selves have changed'.


J: What made you choose Keepsake as your screen name?

K: I chose it for two reasons as a reminder ,<------That's what a keepsake is its a reminder of something dear to you or you may have a keepsake from an event or person that profoundly effected you I hope to effect in both ways

The sake part is short for scared its to reminder me to be true to myself , God and other people .


J: What are your favorite aspects of USM?

K: 1st it would be Keeps quotes I love doing them
We do affect each other and as the people in the quotes had no idea their words would impact so many, the very words you speak daily to people around you do the same you are the quote makers of today

2nd when people are playing or sharing in banter back and forth , and having fun doing so " in those moments " when they tease or play its like I get to watch the very best of humanity the JOY and Love they give to each other and every one around them that watches it and is apart of it ,is like watching them dance , or getting to dance my self at times with witticism.

They challenge each others mind and make each other think & smile and me to :o)


J: What do you like to do when you're not at USM?

K: I like to mess with rare & old books ,play nickel & dime poker with my friends drink wine , my favorite is to crawl into a very hot " hot tub with bubbles "at night under the stars I like to laugh ,write, read , ride my sisters horses ..which I have not done that in a while , listen to celtic music and old rock and roll , dance by my self while no one is watching connect to my kids and family most of the time just to play with all the passions this life can afford .


J: What inspires you to create?

K: My mind and my friends and this little thing inside of me that wants to profoundly effect the world with my interaction in the spirit.


J: Do you have any role models, or people you look up to? (online or off)

K: yes my husband because of his security in self and his ablity to let me be me with out wanting to change me.
Jimmy Carter , Albert Einstein ,Gandhi , Leo Buscaglia , .Lawrence, Marilyn, Ed. who wrote Fed Up and still Hungry .. my mother , for her endless love for 6 monsters
my children who have helped me understand some things on a much deeper level George , Ginger , Sir Phaedrus , DW , RA , Matt , DC ,Toodles , Lady Nyx , Grey eyed Girl..Hey larry ..have seen the worst and best of me, and loved me still Phe ,Ali , sur5r ,all the admin team ....Enchantress and Judy & Sara ..Dale , Greg Benny and Debbie ...

Jezebel <----because your always shinning the spot light on some one else, there are so many people that I feel I am sure to leave some one out and hurt their feelings and I dont want to do that because I feel connected to so many people here but the above mentioned people have had a very profound effect on me and my souls learning in ways that is hard to explain.


J: Closest you've ever come to being arrested?

K: Ticket in Oregon that they didnt know I already paid.


J: Finish this sentence: "People at USM would die if they knew (this about me)...."

K: I like to write about passion of all types.


J: Finally, what would you do if you were a ghost?

K: I would help my loved ones if I could or was allowed to and I would hang out with my soul mates.
