Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE that movie, but you said "just look at the facts from the movie"....well, there usually aren't actual facts found in a Sci-Fi movie. It's a great story yes, but I don't think it could be "true"....I could be wrong, or course, but I really don't believe in the Matrix  |

Ok, to be serious, the Matrix comes from the Greek Word (Forget the word) which means personal beginning. The Old english Word,(King James Bible, or Shakesphere time) in that kind of context, it is refering to where human life began. That is the Womb of the Mother. So Matrix is another word for the Womb. Here is where Matrix is use that way in the Bible, Exodus 13:12, 15, and Exoduc 34:19 also in Numbers 3:12 and 18:15. The Hebrew word where that is translated is Rechem.

Well...I kinda feel the movie is closer to truth at some would like to imagine. As for a complete total V.R World, hmmm...probably not. But when you think about it, what was the Matrix about...it was about living in a make-believe World, constructed by a controlling power, without your knowledge. Compare that principle - NOT the 'all hooked up in separate holding chambers hard-wired into a large Matrix' scenario - to the world we live in now. Is it really that different?? Ultimately we tend to live in a world that is controlled by a governing body, and that governing bodys influence is so deep, so saturated throughout our lives and our society we are often not overly conscious of it at all...for thats just how things are. We tend to be manipulated with various forms of communication/media etc that provide a specific slant on what information we receive about this world we live in. In a way we ARE living in a 'constructed reality'...a 'reality' that is indeed constructed by a ruling power. Be that power our own countries Govt, or the collective beliefs of the 'status quo' that is often represented and reinforced via the media. Peace,  |

I dunno. I saw the movie a long time ago, and it seemed like it would be pretty cool if it were real, but I don't think it's real, because I never hear anything about it anymore. (by the way I heard something about them coming out with a Matrix 2 a while back. anyone know if they followed through with it?)  |

JestR you're just irritable at times, i understand you mean well but you must chill and accept a differentiated opininon to your 'agnostic' i assume views. Drk was just merely stating what Greeks called it before, its called brainstorming and its good for your brain to know so you can base a movie from an old story. Also, im not an avid bible reader, but i do not go to 'stand for religious freedom' and comment on how everything should be religious tolerant. NOw back to the point, Matrix, yes and no, i understand there is higher purpose of the life that is non-technical or human-created. the purpose of life is truly the mind and soul, the heaven Dogma too me isn't what i consider true , but an ascension in spiritual understanding free from religion and a one-minded state of awareness can lead us too feats modern technology fails to comprehend  |
