Uh Oh I'm In Trouble LOL *CC*

A year ago i told my mother to take me off her Dental Insurance because I didn't think i would need the Dentist anymore because my teeth are perfect (to me they are lol) and i am old enough to take care of them myself.

Well...that was a big mistake!

I completely forgot about my wisdom teeth. I thought i wouldn't need to get them pulled since i am 18 and they never came out. Well...today i felt a horrid pain at the back of my mouth. Yep...you guessed it...my wisdom teeth are coming out!!

I am jobless...i have no money...and i'm not under my mom's dental insurance anymore, to top that off my mom isn't going to bring me to the dentist when its time to get them pulled because she said it was my choice not to go to the dentist anymore.

So here i'm stuck with pain in my mouth and i'm possibly going to have to wait until i'm in my 20's till i can afford to get my own dental insurance so i can pull out these suckers. waaaaahhhh........

Are my teeth going to get all messed up if i don't get my wisdoms removed??

Date: 9/30/2002 3:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    pull them out yourself?? *quivvers* last night they were showing turn of the centary dental tools(can you believe that they are collectables?!) they have a key and a hammer they bang the tooth loose and the key wraps around the took and they turn the key and rip it out... i still quivver at the thought of it!!

Date: 9/30/2002 3:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 60685    Not to be mean but in my case I need mine pulled out, the dentist said I don't have enoguh space for my wisdom teeth so as soon as they start going out my dentist is yanking those suckers out, hehe. If I don't have them removed, since I don't have space my teeth will get all twisted and end up on top of each other. Who knows, maybe your mom is making you suffer for a while until you learn your lesson and will come to the rescue at the very last minute. -*Skylar*
Date: 9/30/2002 3:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    awww come on jackie it won't kill ya!! (i hope not) LOL...j/k!

Date: 9/30/2002 3:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 29775    my wisdom teeth had to be cut out of my mouth. They started to come in then got "jammed" in there. I had severe earaches and jaw aches until I got them removed. I waited a little too long to get them taken care of too because they pushed my teeth forward, and now all my front teeth are crooked
Date: 9/30/2002 3:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    Wow.. I kept my kids on mine til they were too old to be on it because teeth need constant attention!... I have had dental insurance on my teeth for many many many years and I cant stress how important it is to go to the dentist regularly even if you dont think you need to.. teeth are constantly being broke down and we need a dentist to help with that.. I hope that you can get something done soon because if you dont it could make your teeth start going crooked like it did my next door neighbor. Her teeth were perfect too, and when her wisdom teeth started coming in, she didnt have room for them, and they shoved all her teeth forward and made them extremely crooked......go let a dentist look at them.. even if you have to work a crappy job a few weeks to do it.. you wont regret it.. Good luck ..
Date: 9/30/2002 3:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    Like the others said above.. MOST wisdom teeth have to be surgically removed

Date: 9/30/2002 4:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    Well this might explain why you've been so cranky..lol. Some people don't have to have them pulled, it depends on how much room you have in your mouth. My dentist told me before mine came out that I would have to have them cut out. They came out when I was 18 and incidently the exact same time that I lost my parents insurance. Well, here I am 25 and my teeth are a mess. I'm just now financially able to have them taken out and to try to repair the damage that it has caused. So far the bill is around $1200 and thats to be paid in cash since I don't have insurance. You are never too old to go to the dentist. You need to have regular check ups every six months.
Date: 9/30/2002 4:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    *smacks release me with her leftover sausage* me cranky? nooo.....what happened last night was my good side...LMAO! well me being the stupid person i am..told my mom to take me off her insurance cuz i didn't wanna go to the dentist anymore..lol...now i shall suffer the consequences! lol
Date: 9/30/2002 4:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    LoL!
Date: 9/30/2002 4:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 59673    ooo..uve got it big. jeezum. i just had my wisdom teeth out, and the pain the next couple weeks is the same even before the teeth get pulled. and to answer your question. u want it done NOW. the teeth will decay, and move the other teeth around and it will be a big party in your mouth. so do it NOW!!
Date: 9/30/2002 5:02:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    aaaahh! i'm scared now! lol

Date: 9/30/2002 6:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 58416    Go to a hospital and get rated. Of course you need a hospital with an oral surgeon. I got my wisdom teeth pulled for free. Just look into it. Doesnt hurt to try. Because believe me the pain does get worse. Dont mean to scare ya sorry. I just know what you are going through. Chickywoo.
Date: 9/30/2002 7:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    thanks

Date: 9/30/2002 9:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 12103    I got mine out in August...and my mouth was sore for like 2 weeks...but yeah i had to pay like $200..it realy sucked..but that was better then having my teeth all messed up.
Date: 9/30/2002 9:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 12103    Its not like a sharp pain for me...just a sore pain....

Date: 10/1/2002 3:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    Join the military.. hehehe I was dreading havng to pay for have my sons wisdom teeth pulled, and while he was in boot camp.. they pulled them out for him for free! Boy was i ever happy and so was he because he has such nice teeth and he gets all the work he needs done for free! But if that is not an option look around for a dentist who will accept monthly payments. Good luck and I hope they get pulled soon.
Date: 10/1/2002 5:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 29112    amy ill take u to a dentist when u come here
Date: 10/1/2002 2:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    thanks everyone
Date: 10/2/2002 7:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 8090    Just wait a few more days and the pain will go away. Usually, dental insurance doesn't cover oral surgery anyways. Mine have been coming in sideways for years now, and every now and then my mouth aches SO BAD, but after a day or so, the pain subsides.
Date: 10/2/2002 12:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    oooh okie
Date: 10/2/2002 1:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 58078    I had to have mine removed cause there wasn't enough room in my mouth and it was pushing against my other teeth. I had 3 impacted and 1 pulled. My brother joked that I looked like the Godfather because my face swelled so much...lol *IP*
Date: 10/2/2002 1:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927    lol!!!!
