I recently moved out of state and now think I have moved to Mayberry USA..This town is so small and there is nothing to do..I am now starting to think what am I doing here, I moved here because I became sick recently again and wanted to get a way for awhile and take of myself for once..I have been here now since June and have only made a couple of new friends and these peoples highlights in this town is going out alot and that is one thing I don't really want to do..I mean we don't even got Taxi cabs here and there is only one grocery store, one movie theater and oh boy you can pick from two movies..It is horrible..So I was just wondering is anyone else from a small town with nothing to do..

Date: 9/23/2002 10:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 40543    My town Resembles Mayberry by its law enforcement. Thinking its a big city and treating it like one when its not.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 53427    At least you live in a town. I'm in the middle of the country. I'm 12 miles from the nearest town and the nearest town is a lot like Mayberry lol. And it doesn't have a movie theater. The teenagers ride up and down the main street because there's nothing else to do lol.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    I come from a city and when I moved here, I about died..LOL

Date: 9/23/2002 10:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 42519    Welome To UTAH! I live in the town where we were acutally put on Jay Leno or David Letterman for the highest rate of pregnant High School girls per person.. something strange like that! Thats all there is to do here.. go out, drag main *drive the strip, whatever you wanna call it* get drunk and breed. Its sad! We have a K-mart, 2 little theaters, a couple gas stations, A pet store that my family owns, the Largest amount of police officers per person, we dont have much.. no arcades, no malls, no Wal Mart, no sporting fun stuff, we are in the process of outlawing personal watercraft in the lakes like Lake Powell and other places it was fun to go, we live in nowhere.. it sucks. Love ya tonz
Date: 9/23/2002 10:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    LOL Ok Snookums I agree you may have got me beat..
Date: 9/23/2002 10:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    LOL, Ok when I run away from here I now know not to go to Utah, at least we have a Walmart..I am stuck....
Date: 9/23/2002 10:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 56369    lol.. ahh the good ol country towns. I have alot of relatives in little ones all over australia. What some of my cousins do for fun, is stand on the street corner all in a huge bunch, and when They see a cop car drive past, they all just sprint in different directions. Its basically Tag at the polices expense lol. Yeh.. there really isnt much to do there. :P
Date: 9/23/2002 10:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    Honey Soul, maybe I can get a few kids gathered up and try that one, LOL..I would at least feel young again..
Date: 9/23/2002 10:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 22433    I live in a town of abouttt 3000 people. I've lived here since I was 4 years old, and I LOVE it. I never wanna live anywhere else. We have two grocery stores, two fast food places (subway and a&w), one high school (my grad class was like, 50 people lol), two drugstores, and two elementary schools. The closest movie theatre is 2 hours away.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 50791    I live in the town I grew up in so its ok to me. All we used to have was on movie theater with one screen and no stores really, just a drugstore and 2 grocery stores. But about 10 years ago we got walmart!!! YAY! And we also got some new movie theaters! We got 2 now. With a total of 8 screens or so between the 2 of them! And we got a Bashas grocery store a few years ago too! I'm used to it. So when people ask if I live in a small town I usually say no because our population is about 10,000 I think and that aint really small. And it takes me 17 minutes to get to walmart and there are houses all along the way so it cant be THAT small right? All my friends who live in Phoenix say I live in a small town and they couldnt stand it here.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 42519    we have a wal mart too, but our closest one from my home town is 2 hours away.. they are building one soon tho, its going to be right across the street from K-mart...... wont that be thrilling to see that one go down?
Date: 9/23/2002 10:18:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    They just closed down the Kmart here, so I guess for a while you will have a little excitement..LOL
Date: 9/23/2002 10:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    H I wish I was like you, and liked it..
Date: 9/23/2002 10:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    oh my god, no, i'd shoot myself. I've drove through those towns before... I always wonder what it would be like... lol poor you.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 24003    Nope..Im in Jersey.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:26:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    Telsha thats for the pitty, I need it for once...And it is like everyone knows everyone and knows everything about them..And being the new girl in town has not been easy, I have been hearing so many rumors about myself and am becoming amazed at all things I am and do..That I didn't realized I did or do LOL..
Date: 9/23/2002 10:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    You're something new to talk about lol must be.. interesting... tell them to bite you.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    It sort of is but nothing compared to where you are. I miss the good old days but we had more than one grocery store way back then even. We don't have bus service but it's still possible to get a taxi although I don't know who would ever want to. The office is in an old bar where everyone is probably over sixty. The only thing worse than taking a dirty cab and having a senior citizen drive is to take a dirty cab and have a drunk senior citizen drive. Our theatre shows about fifteen movies all at the same time. We also have a really old theatre where they mostly have live music now. It house a coffee shop and also a deli. There's going to be an ice cream shop there soon as well. They occasionally show old movies. This Halloween, they'll be showing the original Night of the Living Dead.
Date: 9/23/2002 10:32:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    LOL, I am serious, I was at a bar one night and these two girls tried to pick a fight with me, and I didn't know them, but they thought they knew me and was acting like I was some big secrete and that night I even got called an undecover cop..Out trying to bust everyone..LOL
Date: 9/23/2002 10:34:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48941    Frankenstein, you sound like your moveing up in the world, LOL..I would rather be there..
Date: 9/24/2002 12:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 8941    Uh..yeah...the population is about 250...sometimes there are only two graduating seniors. We have a couple of small convienence stores, and the one that is open latest closes at 9pm. If we want to watch a movie, we can drive 15 miles to rent one.

Date: 9/24/2002 6:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 43556    I live in a village of 650. One gas station/convenience store, no bars, 3 churches, 1 cafe and 1 ice cream stand. A hardware store and an elevator. The biggest employer is a catering business. No cops.
