Date: 9/23/2002 2:21:00 PM From Authorid: 53478 The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you rinse out all the shampoo. Maybe you should try a leave-in, spray in conditioner instead of a wash-out one. |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:23:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927 cool |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:33:00 PM From Authorid: 55673 Pantene makes a conditioner spray that you leave in on your hair. It smells awesome and doesn't weigh your hair down. I used it a lot when I first got my "poodle perm" and it makes your hair less frizzy and soooo soft. |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:34:00 PM From Authorid: 55330 wow ive never heard of that b4!!! i agree wit spyke, jus do leave-in conditioner and hopefully thatll help! good luck!! |

From Authorid: 46069
or coarse hair... that will happen with over processed hair.. from perming and/or colouring |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:38:00 PM From Authorid: 46069 all you can do now is cut it.. it is beyond repair,,,, only conditioners and hot oils will mask the damage... |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:40:00 PM From Authorid: 35720 My hair is soft when I let it airdry.. *shrug* |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:40:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927 no way!! i am NOT cutting my hair! i've been growing it for 2 years now....i'll do anything but cut it!! |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:41:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927 rika..you know how bad i am with hair dye..lol |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:42:00 PM From Authorid: 46069 i don't mean chop it all off.. just get it trimmed regularly at least a half inch every 4-5 months.. keep on top of it so its not so out of control... even when growing hair you should still get it trimmed regularly for maintance purpose |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:44:00 PM From Authorid: 46069 4-5 months is stretching it too. it should be about every 3 months... but still you can get away with 4-5 months |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:44:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927 oh ok thats cool then...i trim my own hair so i'll go do that in a few |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:49:00 PM From Authorid: 53836 my hair gets frizzy and fluffy-ugly, so I don't know...sorry...maybe leave a tad of conditioner in...or sleep with all of it in over night, rinse and comb...gel will help, but not too much or it will be captain crunchy ~SpaceCase |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:51:00 PM From Authorid: 53836 oh yeah...and stick with CHEAP Suave...it has the best Ph balance ~SpaceCase |
Date: 9/23/2002 2:52:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19927 lol thanks |
Date: 9/23/2002 3:04:00 PM From Authorid: 60685 SK8R is right, you need to cut at least a 1/4 inch every 3 to 4 months to remove split ends. If you don't then split ends keep going up your hair and the end result is that you're gonna end up cutting more hair than you would have by just getting rid of the split ends when they first showed up. Also ,when you get your hair trimmed make sure it's cut with scissors instead of those shaving blades which are used to give you a feather look cause it may look pretty the first month but afterwards it's split ends gallore. Also, when you say "it happens everyday" do you mean everytime you let your hair air dry or do you wash it everyday? Cause if you wash it everyday no matter if you use a 50 dollar shampoo you're taking all the moisture away and the oil in your scalp which protects your hair, at the most wash your hair every other day. And again, since I read you will trim your hair... trim all the damaged hair, no matter how much this will hurt you cause as I said, if you don't cut off all the split ends they're just gonna keep going up your hair making it worse. You didn't mention if you dyed your hair, if you do that may be a factor in getting it crunchy in which case my advice would be a wheat germ treatment. -*Skylar* |
Date: 9/23/2002 3:49:00 PM From Authorid: 33573 Oh really?! I always have to blowdry mine because otherwise it looks greasy for some reason and my hair gets this natural wave/curl to it and it gets all frizzy. |
Date: 9/23/2002 4:07:00 PM From Authorid: 53549 use that VO5 hot oil stuff that works really good and it should help and be sure to get ur hair trimmed regularly... is your whole head like that or just a part of your hair? o.o lol like if its just a part then like cut it lol that will help it to grow back al nice and smooth like lol luv ya Erin~ |
Date: 9/23/2002 4:49:00 PM From Authorid: 19625 Well.. my friend uses Baby Oil... kinda makes your hair greasy though. I don't have that problem... my hair gets the frizzies when I let it air dry, horrible! Anyways... yeah, my friend uses Baby Oil... VO5 works really well too. Good Luck! Erin- |
Date: 9/23/2002 4:57:00 PM From Authorid: 46069 baby oil is not a good thing to use.. it clogs the sabaceous glands on the scalp and can cause an over production of oil or dandruff... stick to oils made for scalp and hair such as vo5 hot oil.. do not use them more than 2x a week.. and again. this will not repair the hair.. only mask the damage |
Date: 9/23/2002 6:06:00 PM From Authorid: 56369 hey that used to happen to me. Just brush it afterwoods. But I blow dry my hair straight when I can (never on weekdays, Im always running late!) And I dont have the problem. I never let my hair Air dry cos It goes all limpy, to silky and well yucko! lol. Maybe a trim will help? Cos I got a mega Chop and I dont think it happens as much anymore |
Date: 9/24/2002 1:48:00 PM From Authorid: 29775 try using this stuff called infusium 23 it really helped my hair. It is a conditioner that you leave on |
