The things they are teaching might just not appeal to you. I hated Algebra so it never made any sense to me and I didn't pay attention. But in the classes I did like-- like art and psychology- I paid attention and enjoyed learning. Maybe that's it with you-- or you're not challenged enough..  |

I've heard of something like this I just can't remember what they call it. But its disorder or something where you can't stay concentrated on something too long. I'm not sure how you could fix it, I would try to go to a doctor and explain the situation. *~*SinistarEdge*~*  |

I think the class(es) aren't interesting to you. So if something isn't INTERESTING to you then you are bored and distracted. In U.S. History my teacher ALWAYS shows movies/filmstrips. I tell ya, I am not learning ANYTHING from that class. Notes & Movies = Boring. So I sleep in class. History is interesting to me, but he doesn't make it interesting. |

I think your suffering from school boredom LOL When I was in college, some days when I hadn't eaten, or slept enough, trying to listen to the teacher was impossible. I would start doing the sleeping head bob thing where I couldn't keep my eyes open and my head upright. I think it is only natural for folks to start doing this in class, since at times class can be extremely boring! Just keep up on your homework and studies, try to eat better and get the right amount of sleep and don't let your grades slip but daydream away if you cannot help yourself  Thanks for sharing and Take care!  |

LOL! no, im not pregnant, i havent had sex yet!!! Maybe it is the sleeping and etaing thing cuz i have problems sleeping and i dont eat breakfast, actually, i barely eat anyting during the day. Thanx! maybe i should try to eat a little more but how can i sleep better? i wish we had a jacuzzi (sp?) those really help me sleep! |

Some people have a disorder where they have a short attention span but I think everyone tends to drift unless your like a miss perfect gotta get the 100s type of person. There are some classes that I jump awake in and then there are some that seem to drag me down. It all depends on how you like the teacher and the subject and if they make the class fun for you. And then you just have your days where you want to sleep and daydream no matter what class it is  ¤Vampire Kiss¤  |

I think the comment about the pregnancy was about a commercial that gets on every girls nerves. The "I can't seem to concentrate...Could I be pregnant???" LOL When I first saw this title that is the first thought that ran through my mind!!! |

lolz i find that out a lot, even in the classes that i really like i seem to drift in and out of them, and byt the end of the day i can not remember anything, and it has been like this for almost a year now lolz. i think that mine is because i have had a lot of things to deal with and i havent dfelt with what i am feeling yet and so i am not concentrating on the work, jsut on what is going on in my life, and maybe it is the same for you. talk to someone about anything and im sure tat u will concentrate better in class. *hugs* good luck  |

I used to daydream a lot in school... I was always waiting to school to finish. So I know what you mean. Maybe you don't like the lessons...you're just bored. Practice paying attention. When you're doing something you like I bet you pay attention then. When you catch yourself going off... deliberately bring your attention back to lesson. It's a way of controlling your mind. Maybe try meditation techniques... good luck.. Coolade  |
