okay the first question is why no novacaine? i am a scardey cat and they give me zanax (relaxation from anxiety) and triazolam (knocks you out but you only need heart rate monitoring) so wassup????  |

If it's only a tiny cavity then no, it shouldn't be too uncomfortable, I am sure that if it was anywhere near a nerve they would give you a local anaesthetic.  |

no reason they can't give it to you if you wan't it. it isn't a major drug and it is a common practice. insist upon it. |

Well since I am so afraid of dentist they have to give me Adavant (a strong tranq.) just to get me in to clean my teeth I doutb anything I say will be able to help. Just remember to breath normaly and try to relax.  |

Oh I do not know if it will hurt or not. I have only had 2 cavities filled and one pulled and that was years ago so I do not remember to well. HOw come you are getting it done without novacaine? |

the happy gas made me paranoid. the zanax was like a relaxer. the triazolam made it so after i had no clue. i also had no clue for novacaine injections. (needles brrr..) the first time i made my husband take me shopping at joanns crafts afterwards and i have no recollection of the three or four hours of lunch, shopping etc.lol |

If it is small it wont hurt, but I ALWAYS get the novacaine just in case no matter how small they are. Good luck.  |

I had perfect teeth until about 1 year ago. Now I have 6 or 7 fillings. I've gone som many times I can't remember. It shouldn't hurt if it's small. ~The Mystery~  |
