i think that's all myth.. ask a doctor... gum isn't that sticky as it's made out to be i never swallow gum.. but i chew it constnatly(for many reasons) i don't think it takes years to digest because it takes at most a week to pass completely through the body(2-6 days on average depending on the body)  |

I do that too. I buy a pack of gum every morning and it's usually gone before I even get a chance to go to class. It's not a big problem since the gum just goes out with the rest of the "waste". So I don't think it will cause any health problems.  |

lol, i do that too! always have. in my mouth less than a minute afore i swallow it. i never suffered any health problems because of it. my family still insists though that my uncle had to have an appendectomy because he used to swallow watermelon seeds. lol...doheney  |

LMAO I won't stay in your stomach for years LOL It's like any normal food and will pass just as well as them....stomach acid is VERY strong....my biology professor last semester told us stomach acid alone can easily eat through carpet in less than 24 hours...LOL SO I don't think you need to worry.....  |
