This is cleaver - kids are so cute - GOD IS LIKE

A fifth grade teacher asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in some way to communicate ideas about God. Here are some of the results:

BAYER ASPIRIN He works miracles

a FORD He's got a better idea

COKE He's the real thing.

HALLMARK CARDS He cares enough to send His very best.

TIDE He gets the stains out that others leave behind.

GENERAL ELECTRIC He brings good things to life. SEARS He has everything.

ALKA-SELTZER Try him, you'll like Him.

SCOTCH TAPE You can't see him, but you know He's there.

DELTA He's ready when you are.

ALLSTATE You're in good hands with Him

VO-5 Hair Spray He holds through all kinds of weather.

DIAL SOAP Aren't you glad you have Him. Don't you wish everybody did.

the U.S. POST OFFICE Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor ice will keep Him from His appointed destination.

SpaceCase: Me too, and I'll bet those prayers are beautiful. Nothing like the heartfelt prayers of a child.

Date: 9/15/2002 2:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    KAAOS-children have a right to believe in "a" god, as opposed to "no god". I believe knowlege is the answer. I, myself, allow children to form their own ideas, about who, or what, god(dess) may, or may not be. I believe in small children, a belief in SOMETHIMG keeps children from dispair, and a feeling of helplessness. If, as an adult, they choose to acknowlage no god(dess), than so be it. Children, in my opinion, sould not be forced to believe anything. My son chooses to be a "christian". I have told him about the "though shalt not suffer a witch (poisoner) to live. But he says, that he does not believe the Bible is only God's word. He decided that on his own. He knows other christians say witchcraft is wrong, but he believes if they knew me, and knew what i believe, they would know witches are not bad. My oldest daughter is a Christian, and my second daughter is a deitist. They shall find their own path(s) to god(dess)

Date: 9/15/2002 9:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 16671    Your right lady spriit guide, children have to choose for themselves as you know as well as I do, unless they DO choose for themself, to ask Jesus into their heart, it does no good. I cant ask for them, they have to do it. The bible says, If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the lord JEsus you shall be saved, KEY word here is * If YOU ** there fore all have to do it themselves, all parents can do is teach them and show them, EVEN if a parent crams it down their throat, in the long run, its their hearts and their mouths and it has to be THEIR belief. No matter how much I wanted my children to accept the LORD JESUS, it would not have did any good unless they did it for themselves, I just Praise God that they did choose Jesus, all because they wanted to. I mean they are all in their twenties and they were teens when they did this. They could recount it now, if they only did it to please me or their dad, but if you knew my family, they dont give a flip, they are free thinkers and they would not make this kind of choice to please anyone. Now as far as small children go, even if a parent is christian, and takes them to church when they grow up they still make their own path. Thanks for stopping by.
B3auitufl::: thanks.
