**This is not sad. It is not in tribute to 9-11. I will make my post about that when I am finished with it. Thank you.**
Cheer Chic was at the mall with Mrs. Strider, her friend and a member of the USM High faculty. They went into one of the boutiques that sold pretty, girlie clothes. They were there to purchase Cheer's outfit for the USM High School modeling contest.
"How about this one, Jess?" Mrs. Strider suggested, holding up a white peasant top with flared sleeves and burgundy details around the collar. She smiled, hoping Cheer would say it was perfect.
Cheer shook her head. "No, I'm looking for something else. That's pretty though." She wandered over to another rack while Mrs. Strider put the top back.
Cheer browsed through long-sleeved, 3/4-sleeved, short sleeved, and sleeveless tops. She looked at short skirts, knee-length skirts, and ankle-length skirts. She looked at dresses, evening gowns, and sweaters. Yet she couldn't find the perfect outfit.
Mrs. Strider rushed over to her, holding a light pink top with rhinestones on the sides. "How about this one?" she asked Cheer.
Cheer examined the shirt, feeling the silky fabric, and then let go of it, shaking her head again. "No, sorry. I'm looking for...something else," she said.
Mrs. Strider said, "Okay," and she went to put the shirt back.
Then something caught Cheer's eye. The perfect outfit! she thought to herself.
It was worn by one of those mannicans that don't have a head, arms, or legs. It was a brown jean skirt and a red off-the-shoulder shirt with flared sleeves and black designs on it.
"That's MY outfit!" Cheer said, smiling brightly. She hurried to find the exact same top and skirt on one of the boutique's racks. When she finally had the outfit in her hands, she hurried off to find Mrs. Strider, who was looking at the shoes. Mrs. Strider had a pair of knee-length boots in her hands.
"Do you like these, Jess?" Mrs. Strider asked Cheer.
Cheer nodded happily. "Yes! Look at the outfit I found!" She held up her ensemble.
Mrs. Strider gave it one look and said, "It'll go great with these boots! You're all set, Mrs. Legolas!"
They laughed and went to the cashier to ring up the outfit.
