Didn't you say in a previous post that one of you is related to a lawyer? You should ask him about your rights. And besides isn't the contract only valid if you are living in the apartment? You tried to move in but the landlord is avoiding you so wouldn't he be breaking the contract?  |

Read your contract that you signed, what does it say? If you have signed a lease, it should have a move in date stated somewhere on it, if this time has passed and the manager has not allowed you to move in, he has broken the contract and yes, you can get your money back.  |

if he already signed the contract he may be out of luck!! i'm guessing he signed he contract without getting a move in date!!.. what is very odd they tend to always ask you to sign the day you move in and deposit then try and talk to his secretary she probally knows just as much as he does  |
