I've never heard of a birth mark growing, but I'm not a doctor. Though it might be good to get a second opinion. |

Aww that sux!! Maybe you could buy some cream that might help it to fade until you can get it removed?? I dont know if such a cream even exists but you could try. Best of luck |

3? LOL....You can go to a search engine like Lycos.com and look up birthmarks. A wine birthmark would probably be removed easily with a laser-- but it would take a few sessions since they will only do a small portion at a time usually. |

I wish I could help. I don't know if it will leave a scar or not. Good luck on making your decision---Evilgeminitwin23 |

i am so sorry sweetie. my daughter has large white spots all over her knee but it didn't happen till she was five. a doctor told her it was a fungus(stupid doctor) but it was really loss of pigment and can't be changed. she used to get teased severely for it. we always told her it was angel kisses lol and were any of her friends lucky enough to have angel kisses? lol, it worked pretty good. she is 18 now and it doesn't really bother her now. for her it was character building. if she had been less of a tomboy she might not have taken it so well.she has to sunscreen the area when she is in shorts or swimming. you should probably do the same as that skin is probably more sensitive to the sun. what i have heard is that port wine stains can now be fixed with laser surgery. start researching online to see what can be done. the more informed you are the better. what color is it regularly? purple? you know, my aunt had a very large port wine stain on half of her face and we never even noticed anymore because we were so used to it. it could happen, but kids can be really cruel too...doheney |

Go to your doctor and ask. You can get special concelaers from skin specialists that you could use to cover it up if you decide not to go ahead with getting it removed. good luck |
