Is this possible... (bout fitness :p )

at the moment I can Jog for about 9 minutes, then I kinda get real tired and my asthma plays up lol. So I was wanderin.. in the space of 27 days, which is about 4 weeks, to go from jogging 9 minutes to steadily running an hour.. I plan to run 5 nights a week till then.. Even if its not possible.. how many minutes would you think I can run in the end?

Im just asking becuase in that time, I will go away and compete in a sport event lol. I am the unfit one in the team, so i real need to change!! so i dont become buddy buddy with the bench. :P

Date: 8/29/2002 7:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    i think going from 9 minutes to 60 minutes is a BIG JUMP to do within 4 weeks... don't push yourself too hard.. because it will make your worse  
Date: 8/30/2002 5:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 47218    I would say from 9 to 30 minutes is a more realistic expectation, especially if you have asthma. Don't push yourself too hard. You don't want to get hurt!

Date: 8/30/2002 5:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 22681    This is a good question! As a runner, I know a little bit about this. 9 minutes for you is probably close to a mile. So, and hour (if consistent) is about 6-7 miles. So, if you do everything right, it should work out fine. Like, gradually increasing your mileage/time, stretching well, icing any pains, & using an inhaler. Leave me a message w. progress!
