Dawn sighed and began her confession:
Brooke is really your Carina. They are the same person. I lied about her having a twin. Carina is my daughter, I have kept watch over her since she was little. When she ran from your cabin, crying, I knew that you did something to her. I started to loathe you deeply for treating my daughter like that. A plan had started to hatch in my head as I followed her silently through the deep forest. When you finally lost her, She tripped on a rock and had knocked her head on a tree, her amnesia started then. I ran to her and the first part of my plan was in order. I was going to put an amnesia spell on her but her fall must have been fate. I told her that she was the ambassador for the faeries. She believed me and came back with me to the palace. I knew you would come find her or be lured in by the music, so I waited until someone told me that a human had been captured. I ordered Carina to bring you to me. I continued to tell you the tale that I made up about Brooke and Carina. I told you to find Carina at the Elf King's Wedding is because I thought you would do what you did and get captured like I wanted. Then I could have kept my daughter away from you and she'd be with me so I could care for her. But I never thought that you would save my mother.........
"Your mother?" Simon asked. "Josalind is my mother. I call her Josalind because she likes to live the simple life. She lives in a little cabin by the river and tries to stay away from this luxurious life she calls 'A Pain'." Dawn said. "I guess now you know that Brooke is Carina, you'll take her away from me...." The Queen said quietly. While she said this, the form outside the door came in, Brooke...I mean Carina walked in. She had tears in her eyes. Carina rushed into Simon's arms. "I remember....I remember..." Was all she said. A look of understanding came into Dawn's face as she saw the two hug. Simon looked at Dawn while he held Carina and also understood her motherly love for her daughter. Simon thought for a few seconds and came up with a solution. He released Carina and said "How about I move our cabin closer to your palace so that you can visit Carina anytime you want?". Dawn sobbed out a thank you to Simon.
The days went back to the way they were before anything happened. Simon fulfilled what he said to do. Carina and Simon never saw Graham again and that's why they lived happily ever ever.
THE END
