- When Every Word you Say is Wrong... -

  Author:  34487  Category:(Discussion) Created:(8/28/2002 11:09:00 PM)

Today has been one of those days when I can't say the right thing, at the right time. My mind is clouded and every word I type to someone, or say is wrong. I try not to offend with my words but end up offending anyway.

The only thing saving me from total humiliation, is my recognition of how human I truly am. Possibly, today would have been a good day to listen, more then speak. I'm sure that everyone has days where they do this, which makes me feel somewhat better in the end.

* Even when we try to follow the Golden Rule of "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all," there's no guarantees. ;c)

Date: 8/28/2002 11:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    Ahhh, we all have these days and dont they suck?!! These are the days when you cant wait to crawl into bed so you can wake up and start a fresh day. Dont worry too much, it'll all blow over and just remember: Tomorrow is another day!!
Date: 8/29/2002 2:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 52746    It's awful when that happens. It happens to me sometimes. For example: an ex-colleague didn't look too happy so I asked her if she was ok. I was told not to be so nosy. When another colleague asked her if she was ok, they entered into a whispering conversation and I later heard the once-upset-ex-colleague say how kind and thoughtful our other colleague was. Please don't assume all the blame. I very much doubt you're an insensitive person; failing to put your brian into gear before you speak. I think it's more likely that whatever you mean to say, is interpreted entirely differently by the person you're talking to. And our interpretations comes from not just previous experiences and comprehension but also our mood at the time of receiving information. Try not to be too hard on yourself.
