i don't think there are any end times.......but i do think we'll probably blow the world up one day or destroy it in some other way...we are our own end times. |

yes but we have the technology to blow it up a hundred times over...or release some deadly virus or chemical that destroys the balance we need to survive -if not every living creature...i'll admit this though..the world does seem to be going to hades in a handbasket at warp speed 8-) |

i can't really say, i don't think about "the end" of the world, i don't know how to put it. All i can really say is, i'm wiccan, but i have never thought about this....does that make any sense? i will think of a better way to explain it and come back....... |

Hi Kaja, Can I answer this? I dont think we are in the end times as set out in bible prophecy. I do however think that we are rapidly approaching a threshold in regard to our environment. I also think that illness and disease is going to wipe oout a whole lot of us, and if we dont change our ways and find new sources of harnessing energies that it will get even worse. The end of the world isnt going to happen anytime soon. We could wipe ourselves out as a species and life would still emerge somewhere eventually. Remember when Mt. Saint Helens erupted and the landscape was a grey horizon everywhere. It didnt take very long before little green shoots came up through the ash and life carried on. I think our world is like that. If all mankind were to perish life would still emerge and it would problably thrive even more with man out of the way. Bye for now. Enki |

Enki its fine I just didnt want a bunch of christians lecturing me (no offense to christians I know not all do) on how the world is ending and I'm going to hell and such. U know what that makes sense and thats exactly another belief of mine lol! I do think the world will start over in a way like not everyone will be dead or anything but it will be new and different but in a good way. |

Technically, im not a HUGE studier of Wicca any more. But I don't think many dwell on the thought of the 'end' therefore I doutb it's important. (It wasn't to me.) |

You say you don't want any Christian replies... what if they are commenting on what they know about the other religion's beliefs on this subject? Try not to discriminate. |

My personal belief is that the world goes in cycles. Civilization rises gets to a high level of technology, then succeeds in destroying itself. Then civilization rises again. The Earth, in spite of environmental catastrophies will survive for many more millenia, but civilization, as we know it, is a fragile thing. Cities will crumble, technologies will be lost. But little pockets of men will survive to rise again. - ladyladonna |

You choose I'm not trying to discriminate because I've been in debates and post bout what the christians think and i've seen u and other people there. I just want to know the wiccan/pagans point of view because as I said we don't have a 'set' belief on it. A christians imput just wouldnt be relevant here although I respect what they beleieve. |

What I asked was.... What if a Christian studied religion and was possibly even a professor of that field. You are dismissing a person's opinion solely by their religion. Believe it or not, some Christians know a lot about other religions, including Wicca and Paganism. You shouldn't close a door in someone's face that may have the answer you want. I can understand not wanting a condemning debate. That is why I feel you should have elaborated more in your post and said that anyone can reply but you will only accept and keep replies that pertain to the question above and that apply to a Wiccan or Pagan belief-system. This was the point I was making. |

You choose I would love to study all religions and I wasnt trying to be mean its just I've seen post specifing what they want answered and then people will bombard them with 'their' opinions. I understand what ur saying. I just wanted pagans and wiccans beliefs since they are the ones who I directed this question to. Maybe I sounded to discrimintave and if I did I'm sorry. |

Hey MM...I personally think Mother Earth may turn over someday to cleanse herself of all this ick. I mean many people haven't been very kind to the planet Gaia. I think we have natural weather problems cause she gets upset. I also think ENki said it very well! If people don't raise up and learn to love one another and care for the planet we may see some nasty stuff. As far as the Bible goes it was put togather by alot of stolen beliefs from all kinds of religions. So I wouldn't be surprized that somethings come true. Anyhow there is alot to be done and I don't think the would will end anytime soon. Lets just hope that people start to love instead of kill. Goddess Bless and thanks for the post! |

well from a satanist point of view i believe, is that the world will continue forever and the means to an end is truly believed in christians who feel the end of sin and evil is near. If the world does end, when will it end? that is more important then will it or not. Mormans have predicted in the past and they were wrong, so have 7th day avents. No one knows for sure when time will end. Maybe it wont end, maybe it will continue forever and ever. We should not spin our wheels contemplating this as it cause great stress and we don't need that do we? |

I don't believe in "thend of the world". Maybe man will kill itself through wars or some other means, but I don't think that will be anytime soon. I think that as our technology grows, things will improve and i'm hoping for a lot of peace and happiness for future generations. |

Well the sun is supposed to explode within a few billion years, engulfing the Earth and the other planets. But that's not definate.... But if it is, you should say humans will survive forever, not Earth, because chances are Earth will probably be destroyed before humans. Because we will probably inhabit a new planet within a few thousand years, not because of the sun exploding, but because we have messed this one up, what with all the greenhouse gases and pollution etc. I'm probably babbling on about something that is totally unrelated to the topic. Oh well, I'm not Wiccan so this will probably get deleted anyway. |

I don't think we're in the "end times" and in my opinion it will only end when the sun becomes a black hole. |
