WHY I LOVE MY MOM. WHY DO YOU?

Its kinda long but worth reading......

Why I Love Mom...

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the Sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the wash, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.

She picked up the game pieces left on the table and put the telephone book back into the drawer.

She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.

She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a textbook out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."

"I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked. She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamp, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks in the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list.

She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."

I remember that my mom use to do all of these things when I was little. I didn't think much of it then but now I realize what being a MOM is. I love my mother with all of my heart. She is my best friend, mother, and guidance counslor. Thank you mom for all the things you have done. Love you mom. Dana

So now I ask the usm users: Why do you love your mom, and do you REALLY appreciate what she does?

PS. Remember to tell your mother that you love her and how special she is to you.

She is theonly person who has always been there, and I know for a fact that she will always be there, no matter how many fights we have, no matter how many times I tell her I hate her. I love her with all my heart, and nothing will ever, EVER change that.

Date: 8/28/2002 6:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 28190    This is a Wonderful post SkepticAngel I love my mother with all my heart. And I tell her that all the time. I admire her for being a divorced single mom raising us 3 kids, me being the youngest, and working a full time job, yet she still had time for us. She has always been there for us and always telling us how much she loves us. She is in my opinion the best mom here. And I guess it's a plus that everyone on USM sees her wonderful loving personality as well. She is a wonderful mother. I LOVE YOU MOM (*GAIL*)!!! *huge huggles* Love, Amanda
Date: 8/28/2002 7:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 52956    I love my mom to death. I know I don't show it as much as I should, but I mean she works all day long, goes to class until 9:00 at night sometimes, picks me up from volleyball and cheerleading practices and goes to ballgames, cooks dinner, cleans house, does homework, and she is ALWAYS there when I need her. And I really do need to start showing my mom how much I love and appreciate her.

Date: 8/29/2002 7:00:00 AM  From Authorid: 53838    That was a very touching post.My real Mom was a herion addict so I was raised by my Great-aunt she did the best she could to raise me but I have not had that kind of loving relationship that you had with your Mom. It was nice to read what it suppose to be like. I was never that kind of Mom either. I followed in my real Mom's footsteps. I became an addict also, so my own children did not get that kind of love either. For those of you who had that kind of Mommy please treasure it you will never regret it.
