Date: 8/26/2002 3:00:00 PM From Authorid: 40530 Only invite people you WANT there. Go somewhere you will always rember. Put a special kind of flower on the tables, make the candles smell a certain way. Whenever you see that flower or smell that smell, you'll remeber your wedding. If you make outfits, make your own dress. It'll feel more special. Plan a honeymoon somewhere you have always wanted to go. Have your bridesmaids as people you like, and don't have someone because they are pretty. You may be worried about if you are as prety as they are if you do. Be happy, have fun, and don't get stressed out |

Date: 8/26/2002 3:12:00 PM From Authorid: 19927 if you don't already have a wedding dress, and you're gonna get one special made..you need to contact your wedding dress provider IMMEDIATELY!! it usually takes about 6 months time to have just the dress itself ready..so you really need to look into that within the week if you're not going to buy an already made one! |
Date: 8/26/2002 3:14:00 PM From Authorid: 16845 oh and if your on a budget. MAKE you centerpieces and stuff that you can. Hire only a photographer to do the FORMAL pictures. then have some friends take the canids at the reception. you could do the disposables at each table if ya want |

Date: 8/26/2002 3:26:00 PM From Authorid: 16845 oh and don't trip down the aisle. lol hmmm I'm trying to remember all the cost cuts I'm gonna be using. lol see I have connections so it's kinda hard to suggest them all ya know? hmmmmmm make sure you get flowers that are IN season OR use silk, if you go silk hit the stores while their on sale. START NOW...if your not too PICKY with how you want the church done *Assuming the ceremony WILL be done in the church* Find out who does the flowers for sunday services. TALK to that person and see if you can do a combination so the flowers you use will be used for sunday services. SAME thing if there is another wedding in the church the same day CONTACT that bride and see if it's possible to compromise on the flowers *for decorating* and split the price. monk TALK to nansassy!!!!!!!!!! she has helped me wonders! |
Date: 8/26/2002 4:19:00 PM From Authorid: 59876 if you are getting a photographer and there is family members or special friends that are not in the wedding party but you want to be sure and get them in the pics by the photographer, provide them with identification like a corsage or boeteneer similar to those of the wedding party so they won't be missed. many family and friends were left out of my pics. |

My tip is for the actual day. Have your bridesmaids pack a picnic lunch and some drinks. For after the wedding when you are having your photos taken. My girls packed some sandwiches and bikkies and dip. The also packed some champagne and some beers for the boys. You will be to nervous and excited before the wedding to eat much and there is usually quite a few hours after the wedding for the reception. Make sure you pack some water to you wouldn't want to get dehydrated. And most of all just remember it is your day and you should do it how you want to. Congratulations and best of luck for your future. Boomie Bear |
Date: 8/26/2002 5:06:00 PM From Authorid: 53500 Two words, E and lope. Just kidding! It's only one word. Seriously though, congrats and there's plenty of planning books. I am not a female, but I got married in April, so it's all still burned on my brain! Get the place first, then everything falls into place. Also, if you have money, have someone else do everything else. Like food, get it catered if you can. And remember, people give advice with their best intentions. You're going to be getting a lot of "advice" whether you ask for it or not. Just smile and be cool. SUEDE |
Date: 8/26/2002 5:13:00 PM From Authorid: 19460 my best tip is this... be sure to put on your panty hose before you put on your gown LMAO I forgot my hose and Mom ended up putting them on me LMAO that was a memorable moment for me tho! Seriously tho, dont let anyone tell you what to do in regards to your wedding, except your fiancee of course! I did my sister a medieval wedding and people thought we were nuts... but it was in October and the fall colors looks wonderful! Also remember to get lots of pics of right before the wedding. like when you are getting ready. You will want to look back on them someday. Dont worry about how much stuff costs... if you want something bad for your wedding but cant afford it, MAKE IT (if you can or someone can for you). Let me know if you need anything or need any tips on making stuff... im good at that! |
Date: 8/26/2002 5:15:00 PM From Authorid: 19460 OH also... dont worry about the reception dinner... people make too big a deal of what to serve and all that... i say Have your wedding between lunch and supper... say 2 or 3 oclock... and just serve finger foods. Its cheaper and that way you can spend more money on YOU |
