Wow $3000 is a lot of money to be getting food. Hopefully they will find who is doing it and your mom can press charges on him/her and they will go to jail. |

i wish the machines would show up as "stolen" when it's a stolen number... it's good you dont have topay for it.. her card may have been swiped through another machine what takes all the info off the card for the person to use... they can do it with debit cards too...keep an eye on where they swipe your cards...there was a recent story that someone working at a gas station stole card numbers and info from people and charged a whole shwackload....(of course he was fired) but still some people lost out of alotta money! keep and eye out for where ever they swipe your card! |

I saw this on tv. Right! What they do is they link up the swipe machine to a recording device and they put the information on to blanks. You shouldn't really let the waitress take your card. You should really go with it, unless you are a regular there. You see the information is on the magnetic strip not the raised information on the card. So all they have to do is record on the strip. Are you sure it was really the credit card company that called your mom? It could be a scam just to get her credit card number. |
