Prayers for Grandma & Grandpa

This isn't usually my neck of the woods, but things aren't looking good for my husband's Grandparents at the moment.

Grandpa had to have his leg amputated last week, due to complications of his diabetes. We didn't think he'd survive the surgery, but he did. There's nothing more they can do to fight the infection, though... he's not responding to the antibiotics. They're now just trying to keep him comfortable.

Due to all the stress of running back and forth to the hospital with Grandpa's surgery and illness, Grandma had a heart attack 2 days ago. It was mild (if there is such a thing when you are 93 years old!) and she's now back home resting comfortably. I don't know that I've ever known a more determined and strong woman. I know where my mother-in-law gets her stregth.

Please pray for a peaceful passing for Grandpa (Roscoe Wayne Pickett)

Please pray for extra strength, healing and serenity for Grandma (Mary Pickett)... she's going to need it in the time ahead... she's never had a chance to NOT take care of someone else. Pray she finds a way to pamper herself a little, too... she's earned it.
