Three days went by with a blink of Simon's compelling eyes. At the end of the third day, he arrived at Hunery, the town of the palace for the Kind of Elves. A walk around the little town and Simon had inquired some news on the wedding. The wedding would be held a week from this Sunday at exactly 3pm. Simon also found out that the girl that the King was marrying was with him in the palace, she would go out into the palace's back garden to walk every day or so. The rations in Simon's pack were all gone, the flask of water was not empty for he found several small streams on the way. A rumbling of Simon's stomach reminded him of the empty pack but why doesn't it feel empty though?. "It must be the flask" Simon muttered and shrugged it off. The Queen had not supplied him with any coins for food. Simon sighed and stuck his hands in his pants pockets. A piece of paper was in the pocket, bewildered, Simon took the paper out. It was a yellowed piece of paper. Unfolding it there were words.

Dear Simon,

By the time you find this note, you will probably be far away from home and us. Are you wondering how you are to survive without food? There is a secret compartment in your pack I gave you for the food. It's at the bottom., there is a loose string, pull it and use what is inside.

Your friend, The Faerie Queen

Taking his pack off, looking inside, there was a loose string! It was so small, he probably missed seeing it. Pulling it, the bottom of the pack came loose and he pulled the fabric up. The pack didn't feel light because of this. At the bottom, the pack was lined with coins. There was enough in there for Simon to live for a few months too! Gasping in amazement, he closed the pack up and looked for an inn for the night. Laying on the inn bed, he wondered what he was going to do. Thinking up blank thoughts, he rolled over on the bed and decided to think about it in the morning. Sighing with pleasure at the comfort of the bed, he slept.
