I always thought backstabbing was either talking about someone behind their back or being devious and/or deceitful. I quess that would be people living their lives they want to....if it is their choice to treat others that way.  |

yeah, like lady nyx said, doing something behind someones back that you know you shouldn't, no i haven't backstabbed, but if i find out i have been, then i definitely get them back at LEAST twice as bad as they ever thought about getting me, and my reasoning, is that they might not do it, the next time, to someone that can not handle it as well as i.....  |

LOL...well you're right there...I really don't think I could do that to anyone. And...like you I find myself always defending the weak. But...I'm having to learn that some people really do need a little help and others seem to kind of like being the "victim"....so I have to learn the difference. Nothing like being a superhero when noone wants you....LOL. I've done that a couple too many times. LOL. |

I always viewed backstabbing as pretending to be someones friend then getting info just to spread it around. Talking about someone you have concerns about to another close friend you trust in my opinion isn't backstabbing. Being deceitful and deliberately hurtful and hateful is just wrong.  |

Backstabbing is purposely going behind someones back to either tell someone else what that person had said that would cause animosity or it is talking badly about someone you pretend to like. In any case it is highly unethical and I do not tolerate it. I can honestly say with a clear conscience that I am not a back stabber, however I've been stabbed so many times my scars have scars. *smiles*  |
