What really fascinates me is the night, Its inexplicable beauty takes the flight, Of tantalizing my heart in pure delight, When I visualize the silvery moonlight.
It makes me wonder if not only in a dream, How does it feel to touch a pure moonbeam? And bask in the soft ray that it does stream, A wonderous experience it must seem.
To finally drift behind a twinkling star, Is truly life's sweet mystery now by far, Would I find endless skies behind it barred? Or would I find God's heaven's light unscarred.
With the thought of all these things I ponder more, Wishing I had fluffy wings so I could soar, Far past the skies so I could fully explore, The heavenly adventure that's in store.
But since I don't have wings I must agree, That God's intention for us was not to see, What's far behind the skies must remain to be, Until he calls us home a mystery.
