Yo Peeps,
Things aren't always what they seem...LOL!




For almost a week I stalked my prey,
Noted its movements from the start of its day.
From wooded ridge I observed it eat,
With rifle in hand I watched it sleep.
Watched it drink with cautious eyes,
Its senses couldn't penetrate my disguise.
Watched how it twitched, how it stood so proud,
Unaware that soon life will be snuffed out.

It was the King of its domain, the ruler,
Its once hot life-blood will soon run cooler.
I had seen it fight off many a challenge,
But soon one man will be more than it could manage.
Its reign over all shall come to an end,
As a steel-jacketed messenger of death I'll send.
Daylight fades and tomorrow shall be,
The time of Judgement for that one so free.

It was a clear still day when I decided to strike,
Made my way across the valley, 2 kilometre hike.
By mid morning I saw marks of where it had been,
With binoculars I meticulously scour the scene.
There...there it stands, obsured by some brush,
I shoulder my rifle and start to feel the rush.
Slide the bolt home soft and silently,
Cross-hairs of the scope focussed for accuracy.

It knows I'm here but not quite where,
Its inner voice tells it BEWARE BEWARE.
Too late my friend...your time has come,
Time is shattered with the crack of a gun.
Smoothly the slug arcs and strikes in the head,
With barely a sound it falls down dead.
As quickly as I hit I turn and disappear,
As the sound of sirens start to fill the air.
One less Politician to remove us from hope...
