Suffering In Vain? ~Solitary Tear Of An Angel~

  Author:  47337  Category:(Poetry) Created:(8/12/2002 10:30:00 PM)

Lay my head down, I close my eyes
And wish away the pain
Hoping that this whole ordeal
Will never be in vain

With arm outstretched, needle pricks
Inject me if you will
Let your poisons roam my body
Until I've had my fill

Sick to the stomach, nausea waits
To visit me again
The only familiar sight right now
Is a bowl made of porcelain

So tired now, but sleep won't come
Insomnia sets in
You ask me how I'm feeling
Where exactly to begin?

I won't let you see the suffering
For there is nothing you can do
So I'll disguise the anguish and the pain
And hope that faith will help me through

Ugh Cancer is an awful thing
