I have three words as to why there should be a BIG FAT ignore button...ready? USM TRANSIT SYSTEM. I rest my case. I'm all for the ignore button!  |

I think it's just as easy to delete an annoying person's comments, they will get the hint after a while. Because they may actually have something interesting to say once in a while and if they are blocked they won't be able to respond.  |

I'm sure it would be helpful for a lot of USMers... it could block out certain people's posts and comments and maybe spare some people from fighting later on. I personally don't have any enemies or anything though so I'm fine without an ignore button!  |

That's the best suggestion that I've heard all day long. I'd love to see that happen. I can think of about four or five whom I wish I never had to even think about again. You know the type I'm talking about. They seem to take great pleasure in making negative comments for no good reason and they try to turn every post they read into a heated debate. I get along well with just about everybody but some people don't even want to try to get along with anybody. That would take the fun out of it all for them somehow. Yeah, I really do wish your suggestion could come true.  |

No, I don't think it would be better at all. I welcome all opinions even if I don't agree with them. I think it would be pretty closed minded to block certain people from commenting on my posts. If people are that big of a problem then take it up with admin 101. Or just post in the complaint category. There is a rule against harrassment of any kind at usm. If harrassment is the reason you want to ignore people than you aren't solving any problems by ignoring them. You need to inform an admin. If harrassment is not the problem then learn to deal with different opinions or use your delete option for the comments of your posts.  |
