Never Underestimate The Power Of The Ouija...Part 2 ...(Hawk)

I returned home after having a few drinks with the girls on base. Over the past couple years I had read that you should not use the ouija board while consuming alcohol or after alcohol has been consumed. Maybe, because it leaves you more susceptible for things to happen? I’m really not sure why. I just know that if I had not had a few beers that this occurrence I am about to tell about might not have happened.

I sat down at the table with the ouija board like I had many times before. I didn’t exactly know why. I blame it on the addiction. I tried to fight it, but the board seemed to be calling to me. It was in my head and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I wanted and needed to know if I was dealing with something bad that was pretending to be good. Bob seemed harmless up until the point where the candleholder was thrown across the room. I should have stopped using it after that, but I thought he was just a prankster. That’s what I wanted to believe anyway. He thought it was funny he scared me. I just wanted to use the board to ask if he meant any harm towards me. My friends told me not to use it anymore, but I wanted to so bad.

I placed my hands on the planchette. It started to move immediately. That spooked me a little bit. I hadn’t even asked a question or waited for the movement. It spelled out BAD CAT HA HA HA. “Is this Bob?” I asked. It spelled out YES instead of going to the “yes” corner. I asked Bob if he meant any harm towards me. The planchette began to move around in figure 8’s. (I have learned now that this means an evil spirit is trying to escape from the board). It then spelled out NO. I asked him if he would stop trying to scare me even if he did think it was funny. NOT TRYING TO SCARE… JUST THE CAT..BAD CAT…I WANTED TO SCARE THE BAD CAT…HA…HA…I laughed and asked him not to scare anyone when I’m around, because I scare too easily. He never really answered me about that. He started telling me how he cares about me and watches me all the time. He described the office where I worked too. He said he wanted to care for me. Apparently, he didn’t realize this scared me! I told him I was done talking. (Of course I didn’t know then that you’re supposed to say goodbye and wait for the spirit to leave to properly close a board.) I didn’t feel well at all. I missed my husband (boyfriend at the time). He was still at sea and wouldn’t be back for at least another month. I left the board on the table with the planchette on top and went into the bathroom. (I didn’t know that the planchette was not supposed to be left on top of the board when not in use either. I guess I could have let anything into my home by doing this!) I had said earlier that I had drunk a few beers and I was now feeling the bad effects from it. I felt so sick and I started to cry. I’m usually a pretty happy drunk, but tonight was different. I wanted my boyfriend home. I knew that everything would be so much better with him here. I knelt on the floor to pray to the porcelain god. I started to throw up and felt so terrible that I began to cry. I felt like I had to throw up some more and I called out my boyfriends name. Then something fell and hit me in the upper part of my back…HARD! I jumped around and the metal towel holder had fallen on me. There was only one small towel on it and it wasn’t hanging loose from the wall prior to this incident. I looked at the wall where the screws had been and the wall was damaged around the holes as if the holder was yanked from the wall.

I cleaned up my face, brushed my teeth and went back to the board to confront Bob. I placed my hands on the planchette. I was a little scared but more angered than anything. It started to move. WHY DO YOU SAY HIS NAME? “Oh you’re asking questions now? I said. WHY DO YOU SAY HIS NAME? “Because, I miss him and want him here. Did you hurt me, Bob?” He said yes. He said he became very angry when I called out my boyfriends name. He said he wanted to care for me and that he was jealous. I told him that my boyfriend was a big part of my life and that he came first. I told him that if he cared for me like he said he wouldn't have hurt me. The board moved a bit then stopped. I put it back in the box and called it a night.

I slept on the couch with the light on that night. I was scared and closer to the door if anything else happened I could get out quickly. My cat slept beside me. She was probably scared too. I closed my eyes, but I could feel a presence in the room. I could feel it staring at me even with my eyes closed. I fell asleep trying not to think about it. I awoke the next morning with bruises on my back from where the towel holder had hit me. I didn't realize I had been hit hard enough to leave a bruise. (There will be a PART 3)
