A snake and a rabbit were racing down a pair of intersecting forest path ways one day, when they collided at the point where the pathways met. They immediately began to argue over who was at fault for the mishap. The snake remarked that he had been blind since birth, and that he should be given additional leeway. The rabit said that he too had been blind since birth. The animals then forgot about the the crossing paths, and stared talking about the problems of being blind. The snake said that his bigest regret was the loss of his identity. He had never been able to look at himself in the water before, and for that reason did'nt know what he looked like, or even what he was. The rabbit said that he had the same problem. Seeing a way they could help each other, the rabbit suggested that they feel each other head to toe, and try to describe what the other animal was. The snake agreed, then began to wrap himself around the rabbit. After a moment he said "You have very soft, fuzzy fur. You have long ears, big rear feet, and soft, fluffy little tail. You must be a bunny rabbit!". When then snake was back on the ground, the rabbit began to feel the snake. After a moment the rabbit said "You have beady little eyes, you squirm and slither all the time, you have a forked tongue...you must be a lawyer!"
