Date: 7/30/2002 5:14:00 AM From Authorid: 20559 I got a 19 I agree that almost everything we read in the media is spun on a certain angle |
Date: 7/30/2002 6:17:00 AM From Authorid: 53900 I got 18 correct...I do agree with you to a certain extent but I believe that some (not all) journalists do try to report teh news with as much truth as they can. Of course I know not everything I read or see on television is true or can be relied on as truth. But I think that is true of any news source no matter where you get the information. That is part of the reason I do not watch T.V |

lol. i got only got 13 right! this one really got me. 6. Yale and the University of Pittsburgh each conducted autopsies of people in the US who had supposedly died of Alzheimer's. These studies found that 13 percent and 5.5 percent had actually died of another disease. Which one? Lou Gehrig's disease Brain cancer CJD, the human form of mad cow disease HIV/AIDS MAD COW DISEASE? goodgodalmighty!//necro420 |

Yo LSR, Good score...though I do believe that sometimes having some 'distance' from the source is beneficial. For instance, I am often amazed when I mention certain American Acts and Legislation...and some Americans reply that they were unaware of these things...in their own country. Peace, |

Yo Luv_4_2_Pac, Yeas indeed there are a number of reporters who are interested in presenting as much of the facts/truth as they can. The shame is that most (if not all) of these reporters are either made to toe the line, or shunned and shoved out from mainstream media due to their reports being deemed too inflammatory for general consumption. I have a close friend who is an investigative reporter and would posts the results of his investigation, regardless of what he found out...he last 12 months in the mainstream media before being pushed out because he refused to 'toe the line'. Was his information false? Of course not...it simply wasn't what the mainstream media and the Govt were interested in passing on to the Public. Peace, |

Yo Necro420, 13 is okay...most people I know (except for the well informed here at USM of course) only score about 10. Some of it is a real eye opener isn't it. Cheers for taking the test. Peace, |
