VampireKitten, you must always ask yourself why you want to perform a certain spell...what your intentions are. It's been the experience of me and others that if a spell is cast for the wrong reason, it usually backfires terribly. One example is a friend of mine who is a witch. She cast a circle for help in losing weight...vanity. She just wanted to look better and be pretty, and get commented on by the guys. Well, her throat then swelled shut for three days and she couldn't eat at all. It was a terrible experience. Very true story here. All I'm saying is that if a circle is cast or a spell is performed for any reason other than those of true and noble intentions, it could backfire easily. If you want a glamour spell because you look hideous (and I'm certain you're a very pretty girl), and you want others to stop making fun of you, that's different. If you want one just to be popular and get comments, you're wasting yours and the Goddess's time. Circle-casting and spellwork in Wicca is sacred...it is almost always done for protection, blessing, healing, and peace. If vainly done, it will come to no end, or a bad one. I'm not saying those are your intentions, but I am saying be very, very careful. Spellwork is like praying...when millions are starving and there's evil constantly happening in the world, the Goddess probably won't listen to a glamour spell because it's not worth it. If your intentions are noble, I think the Goddess will listen.  |
