I can hear your soft cry in the night, my heart beats faster, I can feel it in my chest. I can almost hear your flesh rip, and see the warm blood soak into the sheets. I feel a tear roll down my face, I can't find the strength to stand up, I feel so incredibly weak. I find it in myself to get out of bed, and slowly make my way to your bedroom. I pause, as I hear your whimpering behind the closed door. My hand carefully makes it's way to the doorknob, heartbeat increased. I throw open the door, to find you lying in your own blood. The footprints of a boot lead to the window, which is open as the wind blows the curtains. I freeze in terror, I cannot speak nor move. My eyes are focused on yours, your frozen expression that is to be your last, I can see it : fear. Moments pass, seems like forever, I pick up your phone, a phone which you have talked to many friends on, friends that you will never see again. Before I get the chance to dial those three simple numbers, I glance over to the window. I see a man staring in, the next thing I know a gun is pointing at me. I feel myself fall, grasping onto my chest, I am down. We lay together, blood mixing, me and you : mother and daughter. Murdered and left behind. Together.
