Our systems are designed for water and water alone. Much like a dog or a horse. The invention of fruit juices and carbonated drinks arose out of luxury. Milk was a good discovery but is not essential as the nutrients gained by drinking milk can be found by other means. So by strictly drinking water you are providing your body with the only fluid that is necessary for life as well the only fluid that our bodies were designed for consuming. I also recommend milk for the calcium. It is a very effecient and convenient way to obtain calcium. Unsweetened fruit juices are good as well, but eaten fruit is just as good if not better. Carbonated drinks(I'm a junkie myself but I'm getting better) are absolutely no good whatsoever and actually can have a detrimental effect on the body...particularly the teeth by colas. Water is the way to go. Drink lots of it. There's no such thing as too much water... ![]() |

Actually, I do believe there is such a thing as water intoxication. Someone else (I can't remember who) did a post on this a while ago. I'll try to find it and then I'll give you the addy. ![]() |
