Frankly My Dear....

ONe of my favorite movies is Gone With the Wind. After thinking about all the characters and their personalities *love the book too*, I came to the discovery that I'm almost a Scarlett O' Hara to a tee. Notice how I said ALMOST. As far as I know, I'm not selfish and spoiled as she's made out to be. That and I don't have green eyes lol. TO some extent, I can be a hypocrite lol. I tend to have my own opinion on things like Scarlett and often ssay in my head tht if someone doesn't like it, then thy can go to Halifax lol.

I think I make the same mistakes on the whole Ashley Wilkes and Rhett Butler ideal too. A USMer here asked me in a recent post if Danny might turn out being and Ashley or if he's my Rhett. I don't honestly know. I had an incident that I know someone who was an Ashley. SO when I see the movie I'm like there's me. Swooning over Andrew 'Ashley' again and losing the man of my dreams. That movie helped me get over Andrew and to finally see Danny like he had seen me over the years. Now I just hope that Danny is a Rhett that I have to fight to get back.

There are so many different characters in this movie. So fiddle-de-dee. Which character do you admire or take after or both?

How it changed my life:

...Tara. Home. I'll go home to Tara. "_And I'll think of someway to get him back. Afterall tomorrow is another day._" So fiddle-de-dee !

Date: 7/13/2002 10:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 19460    well... i only saw GWTW once, and I loved it!!! I couldnt stand Ashley he was a priss!!! But Rhett was hardheaded, and so was Scarlet, so they never would have worked out! I guess Scarlet would have to be my fave character tho. Gotta love those eyes. We do Civil War Reenacting, and I am about to die for a Scarlet dress, like the one she made from her curtains at Tara.

Since I started going to plays in my hometown in a place called Little Theatre Off Broadway, I'm waiting for them to do auditions for Gone With the Wind and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO trying out for Scarlett. I did a play not too long ago, and the day before we performed i watched GWTW so at the play the next day, I kept wanting to say "Fiddle-De-Dee!" lol

Date: 7/14/2002 1:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 58022    I've never seen the movie, but I read the book a year ago or so. I didn't really like it that much-I usually hate Romance's. Basically the only part I liked was when Sherman marched through Atlanta and all the war parts. But it was kinda intersting because I live in Atlanta and could relate to all the places mentioned.
