Should I really?

I wrote this story called "a parents worst fear", but the only way to explain is to let people read it, But I want to send it off if it seems good enough to some magazines maybe readers digest. I think I have something so I want to try to get published. So Do you think I should go for it? Maybe if someone could give me some feedback on my story It would really help me decided wether or not I want to give it a try, huggs and licks .. The story is posted at usm.. thanks all
