don't count... never did never wanted to.. mother did and thought it was wierd!! as for a scale.. never step on them.. they are evil.. they tell you something you don't really want to know and are always putting you down*L* if you don't belive me think about it.. every time you step on a scale it makes you want to lose weight even when your not overweight! |

It depends on your size and height. Do you have a Weight Watchers meeting near you? Or maybe you could go to their site. You need to have the right amount 'cos if you have too little, you don't lose weight. I would try to find out from the experts. WW have fantastic, realistic weight loss programs, where you cook your own food. Sensible eating really. Try them. Take care, |

I'll try them Aussie girl I didn't know that if you ate too little you wouldn't loss. @ 53502 I have to do something I'm becoming a beach whale lol what do you suggest? I ride my bike 30 mins daily. |

No, I don't count calories. Can't count that high! LOL!!! Seriously... I just try to keep it in small portions and drink LOTS of water/H2O. LOTS!!! Less carbos and more veggies, fruits and high protein items help me. Gotta have the protein or I get wimpee. Starch turns to sugar and doesn't help me at all. i have been counting calories on and off for years and it varies for me because somedays i will eat hardly anything and not exercise and other days i will eat more and exercise to compensate. i won't tell you how much i weigh, but i am a 17 yr old girl and i stand 5'8" barefoot, so i am not a little person. i weigh more than i look. it depends on how tall you are and how much you weigh as to the caloric intake per day. i try to go below what is recommended for me which is about 1400. i try to do 1,000 to 1,200 or below (it's not necessarily good for you, but it works!). i also try to walk 5 miles a day, do sit ups and lift small weights and stretch. plus it's important to drink lots of water and take daily vitamins. |

@ Hey,Hey,Paula I will cut out some of my carbs like bread and sweets and have a small portions. @ TRISTA are you ever hungry? I tried eating 1,200 calories but couldn't, before night fell I was eating half a cake! LOL thanks you guys for commenting on yet another weight loss post! |

well on my weight which was 125lbs I was on a weight loss programme for 1213 calories, but I worked out a gym for about 1 1/2 hrs every 2nd day, now in that workout time I power walked for 35 mins..it appears that the amount of carbohydrates one eats can be a problem, so to maintain my current weight I really cut out fatty foods and counted the amount of carbos I ate..you need to speak to someone in a weight loss programme to suit you..but good luck hun....Zema |
