ANOTHER PANIC ATTACK!!!!...white

ok..see i have really bad anxiety disorder, well i have wat is called GAD(generalized anxiety disorder)..but ...i have had a couple of "panic" attacks, and those of you who think they are the same thing they are way diff....im really used to the anxiety attacks and i know wat to do to make them eas-up (not be as bad)..but, i have been having panic attacks recently, and they are scary, and its getting to the poitn where i dont sleep at night and stuff. its just really bad, i start trembling, shivering (really bad)...and i just start feeling really sick..and light headed..and i am scared and i just have a major freak out !!!!ahhhh i dunno why i am even telling you guys this , i guess i just want to know if anyone has ever experianced one , and i was wondering wat you did to kinda make it go away??? or wat helped ease it off???

Date: 7/10/2002 1:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    I used to suffer the kind of attacks you are describing when I was a teenager, I learned as I got older that the only way to cope with them is to make a concious effort to relax....which is NOT easy! There seems to be nothing in particular that triggers this kind of attack and relaxing won't make it go away completely but if you can learn to see it is as annoyance rather than a terrifying experience then it will make it easier to cope with and they will gradually get less and less.

Date: 12/3/2002 5:40:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   I have the same thing as you. I am on these pills Celexa and they seem to be helping a bit. You should probably see a doctor and see what they have to say about it. good luck!
