Date: 7/8/2002 12:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 2030    I would not get one on top of your foot #1 It will really hurt, #2 The chance for infection is high #3 It won't show well.
Date: 7/8/2002 12:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 28020    You may be illergict <sp?> to the ink and get an Infection. My mom has about 10 tattoos and my dad has about 7. Do not I repeat Do not pick at the scab from the needle! it will ruin the tattoo (thats what my parents said)
Date: 7/8/2002 12:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 28020    After the years...colored tattoos start to fade, so in the future, you will have to get your tattoo filled in withh color again (if you get a color tattoo)
Date: 7/8/2002 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 28020    Oh yeah, it hurts mostly on feet and ancles! So good luck!
Date: 7/8/2002 1:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    it all depends on your pain threshhold! and make sure you check out the guy/girl/artists work really well. a tat is forever
Date: 7/8/2002 1:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    well... a tat is like a marriage... you have to be inlove with it and where it is and if you are unsure don't do it.....ALSO it doesnt' cost too much to get it there... but it's gonna cost ya a crapload to get rid of it if you don't want it anymore
Date: 7/8/2002 2:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 57452    ~It may be painful depending on how much "pain" you can actually handle. I think now a days the tattoo artist usually gives you a sheet of paper on how to take care of your new tatto and what you need to buy for it to keep any infections down..and to keep it moist and not from scabbing too much. Although I must say...I do not know if you have really thought about it or not I have to agree with "midnightly" on this one..a tatto is like a marriage and to add...you will have it the rest of your life..we're talking until you are 40, 50, 60, etc.. (Of course unless you decide you do not like it later and have the tattoo removed by laser surgery, that in itself is costly and never a gurantee that the whole tatto will be removed) Just a thought.
Have a great week ahead..

Date: 7/8/2002 3:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 25556    Usually when it comes to getting a tatoo it hurts the first few seconds but then the whole area goes numb and it doesnt hurt as much. I dont know if thats the same way with your foot or not. Another thing, if your like me and you tend to run around barefooted then you might want to consider the possibility of getting a scratch or cut on the tatoo which would ruin it. Get ready to invest in some sandals because the pressure from the shoe over the tatoo could be painful so you want to wear sandals so it wont rub so much over the tatoo. My cousin is going to go get a tatoo on her foot soon and i think its a really cute idea other than the complications you might have there that you wouldnt if you got it somewhere else. They will probably give you a paper or pamphlet that will tell you everything you need to know and for some extra little tips to keep the swelling down and keep it from scabbing you could as other people who have tatoos if the person who gives you yours doesnt offer a few of their own.
Date: 7/8/2002 3:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 25556    oh yea and when it coems to getting a tatoo removed it usually hurts pretty bad and can still cause scarring. You can take pills and what not to ease the pain but your insurance most likely wont pay for it. Just make sure you give some heavy thinking into what you want and try seeing yourself many years later with the same tatoo. If all else fails theres always makeup you can cover it with but theres another bonus with having the tatoo there, you wont have to see it all the time. Good Luck!!! *hugs* be brave
Date: 7/8/2002 3:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    nah mine didn't hurt best way to describe it was a burning sensation like you have a sun burn and they draw a blade over it type feeling....not THAT bad but since it's on the top of your foot it might hurt more as there isn't much 'meat' there Good luck!
