Yea this is quite long..but whatever =P

Ok if you live in Texas in the Dallas area then you know that yesterday it was pouring like crazy..or at least where I lived..it was raining so hard it was hard to see when my mom was driving. But anyway yesterday when we were at home it stopped raining for a bit and mom decided for us to go to Target and buy some groceries..it's the super target kind with the market. Anyway we went there at about eight o clock. At about eight forty five they made an annoucement that they were going to close in fifteen. My mom didn't listen because there was still a lot of people here so she shopped around a little more. Then they shut half of the lights off..so then we went to the cashier line and there was about five open. When we were done the rain really came down..it was raining extremely hard. At our Target we have two doors..like if you enter you have to enter through two doors. Everyone was waiting inside because of the rain..some were waiting for it to calm down and some were waiting for someone else to bring the car around so they can get away semi wet. My mom decided to run for the car while me and my sister waited inside. Then the manager comes and asks everyone what we're doing and asked were we waiting. We said yes and then she said that all of us had to stand outside. A lady asked could we wait for one minute because they were waiting for cars. She said no and almost demanded for everyone to wait outside in the pouring rain. She then said "Oh you can stand here it's drrry drry" and the area she pointed to was like enough space for three people when there was about fifteen of us. Some ignored her and stayed inside...but she still forced us to go outside. She was kicking us out because it was 9:15 then and she didn't want any other customers to go inside and buy more stuff but either way despite of her efforts i saw three more people sneak inside to go buy stuff. But at the end me and my sister stood in the rain while our stuff got wet and my mom finally got around and we got in. We then told her and my dad and they are all angry now telling me to find the "main guy" and email and complain. I was thinking..well she was doing her job..but shouldn't she have an exception this time? I don't know..what do you think...?

Date: 7/1/2002 1:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 53748    If I was your mom I would call the distric manager and really rag them out of that. bluefireghost
Date: 7/1/2002 1:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 25183    I wouldn't blame the manager, I would blame the stupid people that went in after the store was closed. If people would respect the fact that the store just had the doors open for the people waiting in the rain, then the manager wouldn't have had to lock the doors.
Date: 7/1/2002 1:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 57141    The manager should of let you stay inside for a lil longer. She could of stayed there with everyone making sure they didn't go inside. That's a good way to go out of business. I'm sure there were a lot of complaints (sp). ~*Adorable Angel*~
Date: 7/1/2002 1:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 8374    what i was thinking was that she should of stood at the doors making sure no one was entering..but afterwards she went back inside
Date: 7/1/2002 1:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 23991    Well, I work in a Wal-Mart. I know that if it's pouring, you're allowed to stay inside, as long as there's someone there watching. The front doors are automatically locked, and so is the cart door, and someone watches the back door. It's not too hard to figure out if someone snuck back in or not.
Date: 7/1/2002 1:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 12835    Poor customer service in my opinion.....
Date: 7/1/2002 1:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 56607    Sounds like she was just in a hurry to get the heck off of work. Although i can sympathize w/ her frustrations, SHE is the one who chose to wrk in retail and the Golden Rule in retail is to keep your customers happy... *chestica*
Date: 7/1/2002 1:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hello Pixie Angel. Very unusual behavior for an employee at a place of business. Sounds like the manager should be told. I could see shushing people out in good weather, but not in a driving rain. "Your business is their business."...I guess it depends on how bad you feel about getting wet... Write on....
