This just started happeneing a week or 2 ago. When I stand up (from laying down) I get really dizzy, everything goes black for a few seconds and I feel like someone is pushing my chest back down, but after like 10 seconds everything is fine (but everyonce in a while I get a dizzy feeling head ach from it) And it even happens after I stand up from just sitting down, but not as bad,I feel dizzy for a few seconds, and sometimes my vision get a bit blurry, but not as bad as when I get up from laying down.....Is this normal? If not, Does anyone know what if could be?

Thanks Love,

Moon Angel

Date: 6/28/2002 3:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 18516    I'd talk to your doctor about this MA! I use to have I guess dizzy spells..I'd be walking and all of the sudden I'd have one and have to stop and put my hand on the wall so I could keep my balance and my vision became nothing but static and then go to black..a few seconds later I'd be fine. I talked to the doctor about it and he said not to worry and I haven't had them in awhile but I'd still consult your doc to be on the safe side.
Date: 6/28/2002 3:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 29705    try going to an ear specialist- the inner ears is what effect balance. your eyes could be a prob too

Date: 6/28/2002 3:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 50159    I get dizzy spells, and black outs Moon afew have been alittle scary, it's not nice to wake up on the bathroom floor......the doc says that some women are just prone to fainting and that as long as you are not fitting..there shouldn't be a problem, I would still go see your doc though, maybe your blood pressure is high??? Hope things get better soon cuddles...xxx
Date: 6/28/2002 3:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 55022    Oh, this happened to me a lot when I was around 11 and 12. Felt like a huge head rush, right? I did go to the doctor for it...but don't remember what he said. He just said to wait a while and it will go away...and it did.
Date: 6/28/2002 3:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 43336    Well when I went to the Dr. for something similar they couldn't tell what was causing it. They thought maybe the inner ear. It seems to run in my family, but only the women. And no one has been given an answer as to watch it is. But I would go check it out just to play it safe. Hope you start feeling better.

Date: 6/28/2002 3:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I say go to the doctor and discuss this with him/her. My husband has this sometimes and he was told it is blood pressure, and getting up too quickly.Yours could be something different so I say tell your doctor.
Date: 6/28/2002 4:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 55191    That happens to me all the time too! Yeah, it does have a lot to do with your blood pressure/circulation, but it could also have to do with your blood sugar levels. It's happened to me before - i've gotten that dizzy that i actually passed out. I conveniently happened to be in the hospital at the time, so they did a blood test and it turned out i had low blood sugar levels. Not diabetes or anything major like that. They just gave me one of those ferel lemon drinks laced with sugar and glucose. - Girly Eyez
Date: 6/28/2002 4:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 55191    I wasn't like "In hospital" as in i was sick myself - I was visiting - Girly Eyez
Date: 6/28/2002 4:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 26303    You should get yourself to the doctor! Take care,
Date: 6/28/2002 5:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 13407    it sometimes happens to me too....never seen a doc bout it though...
Date: 6/28/2002 7:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 50435    Ewwwww, you have a blood circulation problem. Before taking any drugs for it, consult an acupuncturist. I know, I know, it sounds like a crock but I can tell you from personal experience that those guys can make even physical pain go away. Take care and be careful, maybe try getting up slowly...Gallytuck.
Date: 6/28/2002 7:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 15394    Happens to me all the time... low blood pressure! Not a bad thing just have to be cautious and move slow when getting up
Date: 6/28/2002 11:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 40543    Actually i have this happen to myself alot Melissa. I really just think its because from getting up too fast and the blood rushing from your brain is causing things to look black. I dont know how serious it is for you but mine doesnt last too long. If yours does though id hope youd go and see a doctor about it. *kisses* i love you take care hun.
Date: 6/28/2002 12:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 22433    It happens to me sometimes when I stand up too fast. Not all the time, though, so yours is probably something different ?? I dunno lol
